Donalson Auto Group Giving Back:Our Community Involvement
The folks here at Donalson Auto Group’s Toyota store care about more than just selling great cars. It’s the people behind the wheel that we truly care about, and that passion for helping people extends beyond the vehicles that get us there. Our efforts to give back to our community are comprised of our dealership being frequently involved in several charitable activities where we help sponsor local organizations.
OUR SPONSORSHIPS INCLUDE:
Hardin County Angels. The Hardin County Angels of Care is a non-profit organization that helps children with medical needs in Hardin County. We display Hardin County Angel Trees, which grow donations for underprivileged kids/foster/orphan kids for Christmas presents, clothing, school supplies, and the like. Donalson Auto Group’s has trees (featured) have Angel Kids cards at Donalson CDJR and Silsbee Toyota dealerships for you to independently ‘pull your cards’ to donate an item. Additionally, Donalson Auto Group has committed to donating to Hardin County Angels, in the name of every single customer who buys a vehicle in November.
Donalson Auto held a food drive at both stores until mid-November for the Silsbee Food Pantry.
Donalson Auto Group also did some fun work to warm up the holidays in helping with Camp Hope: a charity for veterans out of Houston. Our dealer principal and owner/managers attended a dinner and bourbon tasting ceremony raising money for that during the first half of November to kick off the holiday season right with giving.
Save the Pines Projects is something we’ve been involved in for the better part of two years. The Pines is a local movie theater damaged by hurricanes and has been closed for a while – we’ve been sponsoring events (movie nights, etc.) to fundraise like, a Halloween Movie Night and a Polar Express Movie Night coming Dec. 11th, 2021. One of our salespeople at the Toyota stpre, Ben Burla, participates in a telethon fundraiser for the nostalgic Save the Pines effort on the last Tuesday of every November.
Hogs and Strings Music Festival and Cook-off benefiting Indian Springs Camp for disabled veterans and children. Indian Springs Camp is a 501 c/3 nonprofit organization that hosts disabled veterans and children, allowing access to the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and camping.
It is our joy to give back to the people of Texas and to those in need. To learn about specific non-profit and community organizations that our firm is involved with, you can call us to discuss our community involvement and how you may be able to get involved, too.
